2001 Cows with Calves
Flame Flame Sparky Sparky
Flame is a regular visitor to our area. She is seen every year and is one of my favorites. I have seen her with a new calf in '96, '98, and '01. We named this years calf Sparky. She (or he) was a real curious and exciting calf.
Delilah Sammy Sammy
This is the first year I have seen Delilah with a calf. I don't know if it is her first or not. I was never in good position to get a good ID photo of her tail. Note her squared off dorsal fin. I had thought that this had been cut of by something. Sammy was close enough this summer that I could see his dorsal fin has the same shape as Delilah's. This is obviously a genetic disposition and not an accident.
