Actually, More Sizes Would Help
I pined for this lovely sweater for a few months before I bit the bullet. I am a knitter, so I admired the diamond pattern. I loved the drape of this sweater, and with the 3/4 sleeves, I knew it would be the perfect transition piece for an upcoming trip to the beach, or just going into fall. However, I am a pretty big person. I'm 5' 9", and around 170 pounds. While that's a normal weight, I have broad shoulders and long limbs. So I was disappointed with the fit. One-size fits all, they say. Well, the model in the photo must be about 5' 2", and 95 pounds because all of that lovely drape didn't happen on my body. The sweater is a bit tight through the shoulders, and doesn't have that much extra flow around the body. I can get away with it, but it doesn't have that 'throw it on' quality - more of a put it on, tug it around a bit, stretch it out around the middle, etc. Also the collar stands up too high, and so I fold that down (inside) which changes the look, but works okay. So all in all, I still pine to be the woman in the image with this nice flowy sweater on, but I appreciate the light warm layer this piece provides.
